Jack: very good guestion. I don't know. I think, based on looking at while I was there, that they saved the best preserved part of the roman stuff and then removed the rest of it. Jack: Thanks. Like many of my favorite photos, there is an element of the unintentional in it. I took that shot first and noticed on the little screen of the camera that I got a "goddamn bird" in the frame. Snapped off a few additional shots. Took me several tries to get one with out a bus or a taxi or bird in the frame. When I got home and went through the photos, 2 or 3 without the bird in them and the one with the bird. I liked the one with the bird best. If you look closely there are 3 elements of flight in that photo The balloon, obviously The bird in flight. The bird resting on top of the lintel. I thought it is a cool photo. I like the shadow of the bird.. cool…

Jack: HEATHEN! The light bulb was burnt out, and they had to send to asia for a new one. It will be here next week, Insh'allah.
