Headed to Vietnam

After 6 days in Thailand, Bangkok and Chiang Mai, we are now sitting in the airport waiting for our (delayed)  flight to Hanoi.

Bangkok was fun, relaxing, it poured rain one night, and we ate ourselves silly.  Chiang Mai was much the same – mostly eating and sleeping, some shopping and a lovely spa treatment for me!

Pics to come.

  1. Hi Kaddee! I have been following your blog silently for quite some time with great interest. There are so many things that can be done to make the faculty’s experience so much better but unfortunately I will not have the opportunity to make any suggestions as I am no longer employed at AUC-NYO.

A new VP (Mary Corrarino) was brought in last summer at the same time as Lisa Anderson and the leadership style changed profoundly. Both my self and the senior student affairs officer were dismissed with a severance package a couple of months ago! Now I am engaged in an active job search and reaching out to friends and former colleagues. Everyone has been very gracious in providing moral support and/or introductions to others who may have information or advice regarding my job search.

It would be great if I could email you my resume in case you can pass it along to someone you know. I am in contact with Gina Cinali who left AUC for a position at KAUST and was able to get the attention of the Manager of Staffing Services with whom I have scheduled a Webex meeting next week. As I am not restricting my search to the east coast of the US, I am open to relocating back to Hawaii, or to the Washington State (home to my daughter and only granddaughter) or somewhere in the Middle East(given my personal background).

Looking forward to hearing from you soon “insha allah”

    all the best,
    Mariam Fouad
