The end of innocence

“The administration has decided that because AUC does not acknowledge a D- grade a score of 60% shall be considered a D.”

  1. It is one thing to have administration change what “is is”
(redefine passing from 62.5 to 60)
BUT this student didn’t even earn the 60%.
    It was rounded (cough) up.

  2. Well, I guess that means re-tooling the grading system so that students can’t really get a grade between 58 and 65%. That’s what I would do.

Of course, my response, hollow as it is, would be … oh, well, I guess if there’s no D-, 60 must be an F.
